Privacy notice

What we collect, why we have it, and how to make us stop.

Who we are

Leverpoint (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/672248/07, a private company registered in South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@leverpoint.co.za.

Information we collect

If you complete our contact form: your name, work email address, company name, company size, and whatever you choose to write in the message field.

If we contact you as a prospect: your name, business email address, job title, employer, and publicly available business information such as a published job posting at your company. We do not collect special personal information, and we do not knowingly process the information of children.

Where prospect information comes from

Publicly accessible business sources — company websites, public job boards and applicant tracking pages, professional networking profiles, and licensed business data providers. We do not purchase consumer data and we do not scrape private or password-protected sources.

Why we process it, and on what basis

Contact form submissions: to respond to your enquiry. Our basis is your request, and steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.

Business-to-business outreach: to introduce a service we believe is relevant to your professional role. In South Africa we rely on the direct marketing provisions of POPIA. For recipients in the United Kingdom and the EEA we rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f), assessed and documented before contact, balanced against your rights and interests.

You may object at any time. We will stop, and we will keep the minimum record needed to make sure we do not contact you again.

How to opt out

Reply to any message asking us to stop, use the unsubscribe link, or email hello@leverpoint.co.za. We action opt-outs promptly and in any event within ten business days. Suppression is permanent.

Sharing

We use third-party processors to operate the business — email delivery and sending infrastructure, email verification, data providers, and hosting. They act on our instructions under contract. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Some of these providers are outside South Africa, so information may be transferred across borders. We take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection applies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with them, and afterwards where we have a legitimate business or legal reason.

Prospect records: only while the contact remains relevant to our service, reviewed periodically and deleted when it is not. Suppression records are kept indefinitely, because deleting them would risk contacting you again.

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Write to us and we will respond within the period the law allows.

You may also complain to a regulator. In South Africa that is the Information Regulator. In the United Kingdom it is the Information Commissioner's Office. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.

Security

We keep personal information on access-controlled systems and limit who can reach it. No system is perfectly secure, but where a breach creates a real risk to you we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this notice we will update the date below. Material changes will be brought to your attention where we can reasonably do so.
